Bio I came to Canmore via Bow Lake in the Spring of 2000. Having grown up all over Southern Ontario, I know personally how important it is to have roots. Over the last 17 years, Canmore has afforded me that opportunity and I want to ensure that we all have the chance to build “Village” in the community in which we live. I want to build a #Canmore4Every1
I live with my partner and two daughters in the Mineside neighbourhood of Canmore and we deeply appreciate the neighbours and community that we have had the chance to create on our street. In preparation for my run for council in 2010, I attended council meetings weekly for nine months in advance and educated myself on many of the statutory documents that I would need to be familiar with to be an effective representative. This afforded me an understanding of the issues and the process that the council of the day would be facing. That preparation ensured that when I was elected in October 2010, that I was ready to hit the ground running. Professionally, I have worked for various businesses in BC and Alberta related to tourism and event production. I have also been employed in the field of stage management for several large folk festivals. Currently, I work in the field of project management. |
